About me
Tomas has worked in tech for over 20 years, most of it on free and open source software (OpenStack and Kubernetes). More recently, he managed a team making hardware access manageable (Ironic project), and later on, building Linode Kubernetes Engine.
He picked Rust up in 2013, thinking the trade-off of regular breaking changes worth it for what the language provided. As of June 2025, he is Rust's Program manager.
In his spare time, Tomas reads books (slowly), plays the guitar (terribly) and makes a video game (extremely slowly).
